Ukrainian wrestler Zhan Beleniuk won bronze in Greco-Roman wrestling (up to 87 kg) at the 2024 Olympics.
Beleniuk defeated Pole Arkadiusz Kulinic with a score of 3:1. This is Ukraine’s fourth bronze medal at these Games.
At the end of the fight, Beleniuk took off his wrestling shoes, which means that he is ending his sports career.
For the first time in his career, Beleniuk did not qualify for the Olympic finals. In Rio de Janeiro, Beleniuk won silver, and in Tokyo he became an Olympic champion.
His bronze became his ninth medal in all sports at the 2024 Olympic Games.
