Wizz Air has begun recruiting employees in Ukraine

Wizz Air is going to return to Ukraine immediately after the war

On March 25, 2026, Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air launched a social media advertising campaign with the message “Ukraine, we are returning home.” In response to a request from Forbes Ukraine, the company stated that the campaign does not mean a quick resumption of flights.

“The sole purpose of this campaign was to promote career opportunities at Wizz Air for Ukrainian citizens – it was not intended to create the impression of an immediate resumption of flights to or from Ukraine,” the company’s press service said in response to a request from Forbes Ukraine.

Due to a full-scale war and the closure of airspace, the company is currently unable to resume operations in Ukraine, the press service said.

Wizz Air is a Hungarian budget airline founded in 2003. It specializes in affordable air travel, mainly in Europe. Also, it operates flights to the Middle East and some destinations in Asia.
