Google has traditionally summed up the annual results and published the ranking of search queries that showed the greatest growth in interest among Ukrainian users in 2025. The analysis of search activity showed that Ukrainians are most concerned about energy sustainability, entertainment, and political processes.
Top 3 in the overall ranking
- “Lighting outage schedule” — retained first place, like last year.
- “The Bachelor 2025” — a popular TV project.
- “The Squid Game 2” — the second season of the global hit series.
The top ten also included queries related to the boxing match “Usyk Dubois”, the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, the toy “Labubu”, and the anti-corruption body “NABU”.
Personalities
Person of the Year: The greatest increase in interest among public figures was shown by boxer Oleksandr Usyk. Information was also actively sought about actor Taras Tsymbalyuk, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, and former US First Lady Melania Trump.
Losses: Ukrainians most often searched for information about the death of blogger Anna Zhuk, politician Andriy Parubiy, actor Roman Popov, and rock musician Ozzy Osbourne.
Films and TV series
The entertainment sector was dominated by sequels to hits and genre films:
- Leading films: “The Gorge” (fantasy action film), “Nosferatu” (gothic horror film), and the drama “Good Bad Girl”.
- Leading TV series: The second season of “Squid Game”, the new season of “Wednesday”, and the British crime drama “Gangsterland”. The top also included Ukrainian TV series “Reverse Direction” and “House of Happiness”, as well as Turkish and Spanish dramas.
Most popular purchases and meanings of concepts
In the “Purchases” category, the leader was the toy “Labubu”. The military theme is associated with high interest in purchasing pickup trucks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and women’s military uniforms, and with the stability of networks – a request for EcoFlow charging stations.
Among the terms, Ukrainians most often sought the meanings of “white ticket”, “NABU”, “mobilization order”, and “life support contract”.
