The absolute world heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, took part in the Legends charity football match in Portugal.
The fight took place on September 15 at the José Alvalade stadium in Lisbon. The Ukrainian boxer played for the Legends of the World team against the Legends of Portugal.
The 38-year-old Ukrainian came on as a substitute in the 22nd minute of the match instead of Henrik Larsson. Usyk played 17 minutes in the first half, after which he was substituted. And then at the end of the game, he spent another 6 minutes on the field.
During the time spent on the field, Oleksandr tried to play as a central forward several times, and once even played effectively as a heel.
The game was played in a format of two halves of 40 minutes each. The Legends of Portugal team won with a score of 4:1. The organizers set a goal to raise over a million euros for charity projects to help people in Ukraine, Portugal, and around the world.
