Ukrainian boxer became the bronze medalist of the 2025 World Championship

Ukrainian boxer Danylo Zhasan became the bronze medalist of the 2025 World Championship, which is taking place in Liverpool, England.

In the weight category up to 85 kg, Zhasan reached the semifinals, where he lost to Briton Teagan Stott with a score of 1:4.

Since there are no fights for third place in the tournament, the losers in the semifinals automatically receive bronze medals.

Zhasan became the first prizewinner of the World Boxing Championship in his career. This award also became the only one for the Ukrainian national team at the 2025 World Championship.

It should be noted that on the way to the medal, Danylo defeated Ammar Abdulljabar from Germany, Irishman Brian Lee Kennedy, and former Russian, and now Georgian boxer George Kushitashvili.
