Ukrzaliznytsya has demonstrated a medical evacuation train for the first time. Before that, the railroad used separate evacuation cars for the wounded.
The total number of cars involved in medical evacuation in Ukraine is 62 units.
By the end of 2024, the railroad promises to re-equip 8 more vehicles for medical evacuation needs. The project was implemented together with the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense and the Medical Forces Command.
