UKRO-2025 was held in the city of Trento (Italy) – one of the most important annual traveling festivals of Ukrainian culture in the country, which brought together hundreds of Ukrainians from different Italian regions. A record was also set in Ukraine for creating a collective painting featuring landscapes of their native land.
This year’s fest, which was held with the support of the Comune di Trento, was organized by the cultural association of Ukrainians in Trentino (Associazione culturale degli ucraini in Trentino Rasom APS). They gained this right thanks to their victory in the competition during the previous UKRO 2024.
Twelve associations from ten cities in Italy participated in the UKRO 2025 competition program. The performances were evaluated by diaspora experts according to criteria such as vocals, choreography, acting skills, adherence to Ukrainian tradition, innovation, and creativity.
In addition to the art competition, a Ukrainian Record was set during the UKRO 2025 festival in Trento. 514 Ukrainians abroad united to create a collective painting “DIM-UKRO” with landscapes of their native land.
