Ukrainians purchased nearly 31,800 electric vehicles in six months

The Ukrainian electric car market grew by 38% over the year

In the first half of 2025, Ukraine’s vehicle fleet was replenished with 31,753 zero-emission vehicles (BEVs). This represents a 30% increase over the same period in 2024, according to Ukravtoprom.

How many cars were purchased

  • Passenger cars — 30,763 (+28%)
  • Commercial vehicles — 987 (+112%)
  • Electric buses — 3 (+200%)

The share of new vehicles in BEV registrations was 18% compared to 20% last year.

  • Byd Song Plus EV — 967 units;
  • VW ID.Unyx — 830 units;
  • Honda eNS1 — 441 units;
  • Zeekr 7X — 402 units;
  • Zeekr 001 — 366 units.

Top 5 used electric vehicles registered in Ukraine for the first time

  • Tesla Model Y — 2,968 units;
  • Nissan Leaf — 2,853 units;
  • Tesla Model 3 — 2,670 units;
  • Kia Niro EV — 1,664 units;
  • Hyundai Kona Electric — 1,496 units.
