Ukrainians came first at the international para-athletics tournament in Tunisia

The Ukrainian national team won the international para-athletics tournament (Grand Prix) in Tunisia. In total, Ukrainian athletes won 29 medals. This was reported by the National Olympic Committee for Sports for People with Disabilities.

On the last day of the competition, Ukrainians won 2 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze awards. For the first time in all the competition days, our para-athletes won a full men’s podium in the shot put. “Gold”, “silver” and “bronze” medals in this discipline were won by Koval Maksym, Yarovy Oleksandr and Ponomarenko Oleksandr.

In total, the Ukrainian national team won 29 medals, including 15 gold, 7 silver, and 7 bronze. Ukraine won the first overall team place, alongside the Indonesian team, which received the same number of awards.

484 athletes from 58 countries took part in the tournament in Tunisia. Ukraine was represented by 23 paraathletes – the national team entered the top 3 of the tournament in terms of the number of participants.
