Ukrainians buy fewer new gasoline cars, but more used ones

For the first time in Ukraine, a man is deprived of his driver's license for violation of military registration rules

In 2025, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished by 26.3 thousand new gasoline-powered cars. This is 6% less than in 2024, according to Ukravtoprom.

The share of gasoline cars in total new passenger car sales has also decreased. If in 2024 they covered 40% of the new car market, now it is 32%.

The leader of the new-car market for gasoline cars in 2025 was the HYUNDAI Tucson crossover.

At the same time, demand for imported used cars with gasoline internal combustion engines increased by 12%, to 117.6 thousand units. They accounted for 43% of initial sales of used passenger cars, down from 47% in 2024.
