Ukrainian artist Serhiy Maidukov won the World Illustration Awards 2024 international illustration competition. He received the Highly Commended Book Cover award for the cover of Russian Colonialism 101, written by Ukrainian journalist Maxim Eristavi.
The World Illustration Awards is an annual international competition organized by the Association of Illustrators (AOI). Its goal is to recognize the best illustrations from around the world.
Earlier, Serhiy Maidukov created a cover for The Guardian Weekly, timed to coincide with the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
