11th grader from Odesa, Mykyta Kolesnik, will present his research in aerospace engineering and materials science at the 16th International EASN Conference, to be held in France in the fall.
The European Aviation Science Network (EASN) annually holds this scientific forum for leading aviation engineers, space researchers, and developers of the latest technologies. The Ukrainian student will speak at the event alongside experienced scientists in the field.
The day before, Mykyta Kolesnik successfully completed the international Lumiere Research Program. The schoolboy was mentored by a mentor from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). During the program, the young man prepared a scientific article on the use of composite materials in aviation. This material will soon be published by the specialized publication National High School Journal of Science.
In addition, the schoolboy founded the international STEM platform Exores, which popularizes exact sciences and unites young researchers. He also heads the SOLYSTRUM project. This initiative develops mathematical models and new ways of transferring energy for future space missions.
