The Ukrainian Paralympic team became the first to win the most awards at the 2025 World Swimming Championships, which concluded in Singapore. According to the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the team won 49 medals (16 gold, 16 silver, and 17 bronze).
In terms of the number of gold medals, the “blue and yellow” team lost to Italy (18, 17, 11), the USA (18, 6, 11), and China (17, 9, 7), finishing in fourth place.
Andriy Trusov became the four-time world champion. The Ukrainian paraswimmer won all four heats and set two world championship records: 100m freestyle, class S7 – 59.90 seconds, and 50m freestyle, class S7 – 26.72.
