Ukrainian athlete Anna Sheremet won the gold medal in the single sculls final of the European Para-Academic Rowing Championship.
The para-rower from Dnipro swam two kilometers in 10:02.25 minutes. Anna Sheremet broke into the competition leaders from a distance of 500 meters. The Ukrainian was 12 seconds ahead of her closest rival.
Later, Sheremet only strengthened her leadership, finishing in first place. The tournament’s silver medal was won by the representative of the Netherlands, Eva Mol, who arrived at the final point 38 seconds later. The bronze medalist was the rower from Switzerland, Claire Giringelli, who covered the two kilometers of the swim in 10:43.41 minutes.
For Anna Sheremet, this “gold” was the third medal at the highest-class international tournaments. In 2025, the Ukrainian para-rower became the world champion.
