The Ukrainian national archery team won gold and silver medals at the European Youth Championship in Rome, Italy. The championship title in the team competition among juniors (U21) was won by Oleksandr Dymarchuk, Dmytro Fomin and Ivan Rashevsky, who defeated their rivals in Olympic archery.
The silver medal in the individual tournament among cadets (U18) was won by Anna Anisimova, who lost to the representative of Turkey, Dunya Yenihayat, in the final.
Several more Ukrainian participants stopped one step away from the podium and took fourth places. In particular, Oleksandr Dymarchuk lost the bronze match to the Spaniard in the individual U21 competition. The U21 mixed compound archery team of Oriana Vlasyk and Vitaliy Vdovenko also rounded out the top four teams of the tournament.
