According to data from March 2026, Ukrainian IT service exports reached $592 million, an increase of $46 million, or 8.4%, compared to the same period in 2025, when they totaled $546 million. This demonstrates positive annual growth in the sector.
In March 2026, the primary markets for Ukrainian IT sector exports were the United States ($230 million), Malta ($53 million), Cyprus ($42 million), the United Kingdom ($37 million), and Israel ($24 million), maintaining their rankings as key partners from the previous year.
The share of IT services in the structure of general service exports reached 43.2% ($1.369 billion), up 4.3 percentage points from 38.9% to 43.2%. Despite a seasonal 25.7% reduction in IT exports in January 2026 compared to December 2025, the sector is recovering its sales dynamics faster than in the previous year.
For the first quarter of 2026, IT service exports totaled $1.644 billion, an increase of $74 million or 4.7% compared to the equivalent period in 2025 ($1.570 billion). This resilience indicates the sector’s ability to sustain growth despite wartime conditions and its potential to restore export levels to 2025 levels, when total IT service exports amounted to $6.7 billion.
Serhiy Hetmantsev emphasized the importance of government policies to support the export potential of Ukrainian IT companies. In particular, expanding IT product and service production within the defense-industrial complex sphere, along with scaling up Defense City’s special regime capabilities to stimulate exports, are key components.
