In France, Ukrainian rescuers successfully extinguished a forest fire that posed an immediate threat to a local settlement. The fire was stopped thanks to the operational actions of a joint detachment of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the involvement of French aviation.
At the time of the response, the fire had already covered about one hectare of forest. The situation was complicated by gusts of wind and strong heat, which created a high risk of the flames spreading rapidly towards the settlement.
Specialists managed to prevent the fire from spreading further into the forest and divert the threat away from residential areas.
