Ukrainian entrepreneur, producer, and social activist Elvira Paterson continues to strengthen Ukraine’s presence on the international stage. This time, her work received high international recognition in Portugal, where she was honored with the prestigious Martin Luther King Medal of Heart Chaplain.
The award was presented during the international forum “O Poder da Conexão” by the organization Civil Diplomat Jethro European Union for her active participation in social projects, support for vulnerable populations, and implementation of charitable initiatives. During the event, Elvira also spoke as a guest speaker, sharing her own experience in international business development, social entrepreneurship, and the responsibilities of modern leaders.

This award serves as yet another confirmation of the effectiveness of Elvira’s many years of work in the field of humanitarian activities. In recent years, Elvira Paterson has been implementing and supporting international social and cultural projects to help women and children facing difficult life circumstances, as well as people affected by humanitarian crises.

An important aspect of her work is her collaboration with international charitable organizations. In particular, in 2026, at the Cannes Film Festival, Elvira personally presented a humanitarian award to actress Olha Kurylenko for her contributions to charitable initiatives. This event served as yet another example of how Ukrainian figures are increasingly shaping the global agenda in the fields of culture and social responsibility.
A year earlier, Elvira Paterson herself received an international award during the Venice Film Festival. The award was presented to her by American actor and director Kevin Spacey, who recognized her active efforts to support civilians affected by the war in Ukraine, as well as her implementation of large-scale humanitarian programs.

Today, Elvira Paterson successfully combines entrepreneurship, film production, philanthropy, and cultural initiatives. She organizes international charity events, leads humanitarian missions and fundraising campaigns in various countries, supports Ukrainian cultural initiatives, and collaborates with representatives of the Ukrainian film industry.
Her work exemplifies how Ukrainian entrepreneurs and cultural figures are shaping a positive image of Ukraine worldwide, developing international partnerships, and drawing global attention to the country’s various projects. The award was not only a personal achievement for Elvira Paterson but also further proof that Ukrainians’ contributions to the development of international humanitarian cooperation are being recognized.
