The Ukrainian Cultural Center in Paris has opened the exhibition “The Evolution of Archaic,” which is part of the world-famous Paris Design Week 2024.
Among the participants are Litkovska with objects from the Rebirth collection, Andriy and Olesya Voznytsky, GARDI, Zhorna Archaika Ukraine, Saga Pottery and Hopak studios, as well as Danuta Kriel, Yulia Tishchenko, Diana Bilichenko, Maria Puliaeva and others.
The exhibition features art objects made of vintage majolica, black-smoked ceramics, hemp and woolen threads, wheat roots, oak, and ash. The authors use such primordial materials as clay, metal, wool, stone, and glass to show how archaic becomes a source of inspiration and creates new, relevant, and object matter.
The “The Evolution of Archaic” exhibition is supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in France and will run until September 14.
