Ukrainian cinematographer Mykyta Kuzmenko has been nominated for Best Cinematography at the MTV Video Music Awards for the second time. This time, for the music video Illusion, which he shot for British singer Dua Lipa in tandem with director Tania Muinho. In 2022, Kuzmenko won an MTV VMA for his music video As It Was for Harry Styles, which he also directed with Muñoz.
Mykyta Kuzmenko has an impressive creative body of work: he has shot commercials for such famous brands as Dior, Puma, and Oakley, and worked with Muñoz on music videos for Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Rosalía, and Sam Smith.
He is also the cinematographer for the Ukrainian film Pafmir by Dmytro Sukholytkyi-Sobchuk, which was released in Ukraine in 2023. Kuzmenko received the award for best cinematography at the London Raindance Film Festival.
