Ukrainian boxer Andriy Boryshpolets (12-4, 5 KO) defeated Italian Stefano Ramundo (18-3, 4 KO) by knockout and won the IBO Continental champion belt.
In Orbetello, Italy, a fight between Andriy Boryshpolets and Stefano Ramundo became the main event of the boxing evening. The IBO Continental champion belt in the light welterweight division was at stake.
The fight turned out to be extremely competitive and went the full 10 rounds. However, the fight ended early — two minutes before the end of the confrontation. After an active ninth round, Boryshpolets continued to put pressure on Ramundo in the tenth. The Ukrainian launched a series of punches to the Italian’s body and face, ending with an uppercut that Ramundo could no longer defend against.
The referee started the count and eventually stopped the fight with a technical knockout in favor of the Ukrainian. Thanks to this, Boryspolets became the owner of the IBO Continental champion belt.
