The United Arab Emirates has released a musical composition based on the poetry of the prominent Ukrainian poetess Lesya Ukrainka. The Dubai-based band UnovA performed the song “All will be left behind” written by composer and singer Olga Bondarenko. The track, dedicated to Lesya Ukrainka’s birth anniversary, is now available on various music platforms.
Olha Bondarenko said that the idea for the song came about when she was looking for a poem for a performance dedicated to Lesya Ukrainka. She turned it into a song when she felt it was in tune with her mood. The creation process took a long time, but the result is the first release by UnovA.
The group is already preparing for a new challenge by recording a second song called “Ukrainian Hearts,” with music and lyrics by Olga Bondarenko. UnovA’s compositions can be listened to on popular platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, etc.
