Poland to provide Ukraine with additional Starlink terminals

Ukraine will become the first European country to offer Starlink mobile services. Operator Kyivstar is expected to launch messaging services by the end of the year and mobile satellite broadband in mid-2026.

This was announced by Kyivstar CEO Olexander Komarov in an interview with Reuters.

Testing has now begun under an agreement signed with SpaceX at the end of 2024. The connection will be via satellites equipped with modems. They will function as cell towers, transmitting telephone signals from space directly to smartphones.
