British business coach and motivational speaker Jim Loveless was supposed to present his book “Go Where It’s Scary, and You’ll Get What You Dream Of” in Kyiv. But due to the “deteriorating security situation,” the meeting was canceled.
This was reported on social media by BookChef, the publisher that released Loveless’s book in Ukraine.
The first post about the cancellation of the meeting with Loveless attracted a large number of ironic comments from Ukrainians. After that, BookChef deleted it and published a new one, announcing the postponement of the meeting and stating that they understood the irony of the situation.
BookChef writes that Loveless’s book is about overcoming fear, regardless of what the reader is afraid of: diving deep, going to a job interview, or confessing their love. The ten rules proposed by the author are intended to enable readers to chase away their inner demons and take a step forward, thereby finding the inner strength to achieve anything.
