Ukraine uses its own laser weapon, "Trident"

Ukraine has a laser weapon called Tryzub in its arsenal. A project is also underway to use a drone “uterus” with two FPVs.

Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced this.

“Ukraine is, if I’m not mistaken, the fifth country that can say it has a laser. Today, we can shoot down airplanes at an altitude of over 2 kilometers with this laser,” Sukharevsky said.

He says the Unmanned Systems Forces are scaling up and strengthening the laser. The colonel also noted that Ukraine has large UAVs carrying light attack drones.

“We use the so-called “uterus” drones, FPV carriers, with a depth of entry of more than 70 km. They carry two FPVs underneath, act as a repeater, and hit deep enemy targets,” the official added.

Sukharevsky said that the grouping of the Unmanned Systems Forces operates along the entire front line.
