The Ukrainian Film Academy has announced the launch of a new grant program for Ukrainian screenwriters and producers. Under this program, they will have the opportunity to receive mentoring support and financial assistance for their projects.
The program offers grants of $10,000 each to support 20 feature film script development projects for teams of screenwriters and producers who have Ukrainian citizenship.
In addition, each of the grant program teams will participate in workshops developed by EAVE and receive individual consultations and mentoring from EAVE experts on script writing, financing, and marketing strategies for their projects.
Netflix supports the Ukrainian audiovisual industry, including digital workshops to improve creators’ skills and knowledge.
According to the Ukrainian Film Academy, 200 film industry professionals have received scholarships to realize their creative projects. Another 650 Ukrainian filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, and other industry representatives have received training and mentoring with the support of Netflix.
