With one stage left before the end of the 2025/2026 biathlon season, the Ukrainian women’s national team has lost its opportunity to retain its quota in individual races. A poor result in the Nations Cup will deprive our athletes of one position in the application.
Due to failures in the sprint and unconvincing performances in the mixed relay at the World Cup stage in Otepää, Estonia, Ukraine no longer has a mathematical chance of rising to 10th place.
Ukraine will be able to enter 4 athletes – this is the worst figure in the last 21 years. The last time Ukraine’s representation in women’s biathlon in individual races was so small was in the 2005/2006 season.
