The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to authorize nearly $61 billion in military aid to Ukraine through September 2025.

Bill No. 8035 was supported by 311 representatives, with Democrats casting 210 votes in favor and Republicans casting 101 votes. The U.S. Senate must approve the bill, and the vote will be today. The Senate has previously said it would support the bill. After that, it must be signed by U.S. President Joe Biden.

The bill, a comprehensive aid package, allocates $13.8 billion for the purchase of weapons and equipment, another $13.4 billion to replace and repair weapons already transferred to Ukraine, and to train the Ukrainian military. Additionally, $23.2 billion is earmarked to replenish the U.S. arms stockpile, ensuring a robust defense capability.

At the same time, the document separately calls on the U.S. President to transfer long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine as soon as possible. The president will decide for himself – the bill contains a warning that the state leader may not make such a decision if he believes it will harm the United States national security.
