The Transnational Cultural Complex “Pre-Kukuteni-Ariushd-Kukuteni-Trypillian” has been included in UNESCO’s Tentative List. The complex includes 15 archaeological sites located in eight regions of Ukraine, as well as 36 in Romania and 20 in Moldova.
The included Ukrainian sites reflect the high level of development of settlements, planning, and material culture of the Eneolithic era on the territory of modern Ukraine.
This is an important step towards the inclusion of this site on the UNESCO World Heritage List and towards international recognition of the unique cultural heritage of the Trypillian culture, one of the oldest civilizations in Europe.
