On September 4, the 57th season of Ukrainian Fashion Week started in Kyiv. This event has long transcended ordinary shows and has become a significant cultural phenomenon for the fashion industry and the country as a whole.


This year, Fashion Week is dedicated to the power of the fashion industry as a tool for preserving identity and cultural heritage. That is why many moments of the program highlight the synergy between art and life, and are also aimed at fostering a new understanding of cultural heritage.
The opening took place in the format of the final of the 16th competition of young designers. Ten finalists presented collections inspired by famous patrons of the arts.

Within the framework of the creative residency under the curatorship of Ivan Frolov, designers reinterpreted art as a source of inspiration. Nadiya Dobrovolska won the Grand Prix and 100,000 hryvnias, Khrystyna Grechanovska took second place, and Anna Kuzmenko took third place. The jury included well-known Ukrainian designers: Ksenia Shnaider, Svitlana Bevza, Liliya Litkovska, Iryna Karavay, and Liliya Pustovit.
