The most stressful airports in the world have been named

International experts have prepared a new travel rating, compiling the top airports where travelers often face stress, VisaGuide.News reports.

To create the rating, 1,642 air passengers who made at least two international air trips during 2023, citizens of 53 different countries, were surveyed.

To prepare the rating, we considered the factors that most affect the stress level during air travel (according to travelers). These include airport congestion, crowd density, frequency of delays, etc.

The top ten “stressful” ports are as follows:

  1. London Gatwick Airport (London, UK),
  2. Istanbul Airport (Istanbul, Turkey),
  3. Munich Airport (Munich, Germany),
  4. Denver International Airport (Denver, USA),
  5. Heathrow Airport (London, UK),
  6. Los Angeles International Airport (Los Angeles, USA),
  7. Fiumicino International Airport (Rome, Italy),
  8. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (Dallas, USA),
  9. John F. Kennedy International Airport (New York, USA),
  10. O’Hare International Airport (Chicago, USA).

VisaGuide’s World’s Most Stressful Airports is a comprehensive rating system that assesses the level of stress that passengers face when traveling to the world’s 30 largest airports.

The rankings consider a variety of factors travelers select as the most significant contributors to their stress levels when traveling by air, including the number of passengers per year, crowd density, likelihood of flight delays, and more.
