Ukravtoprom reports that, during May, more than 19.3 thousand used cars imported from abroad were added to the Ukrainian car fleet.
Registrations of such cars increased by 26% compared to May 2023. At the same time, this indicator decreased by 2% relative to the previous month.
The largest share in this car market segment belonged to gasoline cars – 49%. Next are diesel cars – 23%; electric cars – 17%; cars with SSS – 6%; hybrids – 5%. Volkswagen Golf remains the leader of the first registrations.
The top 10 most popular models of the month include:
- Volkswagen Golf – 1049 units;
- Renault Megane – 806 units;
- Skoda Octavia – 640 units;
- Volkswagen Passat – 569 units;
- Volkswagen Tiguan – 552 units;
- Nissan Leaf – 492 units;
- Nissan Rogue – 482 units;
- Audi Q5 – 457 units;
- Tesla Model 3 – 404 units;
- Audi A4 – 397 units.
The average age of used cars that switched to Ukrainian license plates in May is 9 years. Since the beginning of the year, almost 95 thousand used cars have passed their first registration in Ukraine, which is 36% more than in the same period of 2023.
