The Kyiv Posters collection, which includes works by well-known contemporary Ukrainian designers and illustrators, has become part of the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich’s poster collection.
The series includes 14 posters, each telling a unique story of Kyiv through the prism of a designer’s or illustrator’s perception. Curator Olha Protasova invited well-known Ukrainian creatives to depict Kyiv through typography, architecture, decor, color combinations, symbolism, and their own vision. The particular project, Kyiv Posters, attracted the attention of curators from the Museum für Gestaltung, who suggested adding Kyiv posters to the museum’s collection.
The Zurich Museum of Art Poster Collection currently includes more than 380,000 posters. The collection can potentially be displayed in a changing exhibition or loaned to other museums in Switzerland.
