The International Olympic Committee has determined where the Winter Olympics will be held in 2030 and 2034

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has determined the venues for the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2030 and 2034: the French Alps and the US city of Salt Lake City.

Winter Olympics 2030

The French Alps are to host the XXVI Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2030, the International Olympic Committee members decided during its 142nd session in Paris.

The French Prime Minister must guarantee that the Committee will host the Games no later than October 1, 2024, and the French Parliament must ratify this decision by March 1, 2025.

The French delegation at the IOC meeting was headed by French President Emmanuel Macron, who declared his country’s full commitment to the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Winter Olympics 2034

The American city of Salt Lake City in Utah was chosen to host the XXVII Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2034.

The Salt Lake City delegation was led by Utah Governor Spencer Cox and Mayor Erin Mendenhall, among others.

Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, called Salt Lake City and Utah long-time friends of the Olympic movement and expressed confidence that “they will organize exceptional Olympic and Paralympic Games, as they did many years ago.”
