Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for Gladiator 2. The film was directed by Ridley Scott and stars Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal.
The first part of Gladiator, which won five Oscars, was released in 2000. It starred Russell Crowe (gladiator Maximus) and Joaquin Phoenix (Emperor Commodus).
The sequel takes place about 20 years after the events of the first part. The plot of the second Gladiator centers on Lucius, Commodus’ nephew. After being enslaved, Lucius becomes a gladiator.
Gladiator 2 will be released worldwide on November 22, 2024.
