The European Commission has launched a review of Ukrainian legislation in the context of preparing a negotiation framework. This document defines the principles and procedures for negotiating accession to the EU. This was announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during a briefing.
“We note the response to Ukraine’s call. The country’s democratic institutions are following our recommendations for EU accession. We are now starting the verification process,” she emphasized.
The European Commission will evaluate the latest steps approved by the Verkhovna Rada so that Ukraine can start negotiations on EU accession.
