The Ukrainian tennis player won the award for participation in the team tournament for the second time this season.
Ukraine’s first “racket”, Elina Svitolina, took first place in the fan vote on the Billie Jean King Cup website, ahead of Jessica Pegula (USA), Jasmine Paolini, and Elisabetta Cocciaretto (both – Italy).
“It is a great honor for me to receive the “Billie Jean King Cup Finals Heart Award”. This means a lot to me, as it reflects the spirit and unity of our Ukrainian team and the incredible support from all of you. Thank you to everyone who voted and supported me. I will donate the $10,000 prize to the Svitolina Foundation to help the next generation of young tennis players and continue our program, which gives hope to children through sport,” the tennis player emphasized.
Recall that this year, Elina Svitolina received the same award for her performance in the Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers.
