Spanish pop singer Rosalía has recorded a new studio album, LUX, which will include tracks in 13 different languages, including Ukrainian.
In addition to Ukrainian, the album will feature songs in Spanish, Catalan, English, Latin, Sicilian, Arabic, German and other languages.
According to Rosalía, the decision to sing in foreign languages arose “out of love, curiosity and a desire to understand others and herself more deeply”.
The artist spent a year writing the lyrics in foreign languages. She used Google Translate, but did not turn to artificial intelligence. Rosalía describes the process as a “puzzle or labyrinth” that required patience and concentration.
The album LUX is scheduled for release on November 7. This will be Rosalía’s fourth studio album.
