Social network X officially allows publishing porn on the platform

Social network X (formerly Twitter) has updated its rules to allow users to publish adult content.

This was reported by Tech Crunch journalists.

X has long had many active NSFW communities. While the platform has unofficially allowed people to post adult content, its rules have never explicitly prohibited or allowed it.

However, X added new clauses to its rules this weekend that formally allow users to post pornographic content on the platform – with a few caveats.

The platform will require users who regularly post NSFW content to change their settings to mark the images and videos they post as sensitive. Appropriate warnings can also be added to individual posts.

By default, users who are under 18 or have not entered their date of birth cannot view NSFW content.

The rules prohibit content that “promotes the exploitation, lack of consent, objectification, sexualization, or harm to minors, as well as indecent behavior.”

Pornographic content is prohibited from publishing in prominent places, such as a profile photo or banner.

The X Rules apply to all adult content, regardless of whether it is real photos/videos, artificially intelligent videos, or animation (e.g., hentai).
