Shares of Ukrainian companies rise rapidly on news of peace talks

The number of bankrupts in Ukraine is increasing to a record high

On February 13, the share price of Ukrainian companies on the London and Warsaw stock exchanges jumped amid news that US President Donald Trump had started peace talks.

The shares of the MHP agricultural holding on the London Stock Exchange have jumped by 13.29% since the start of trading, while Ferrexpo’s shares have risen by 18.06%.

Shares of Ukrainian companies on the Warsaw Stock Exchange are also rising rapidly.

The share price of Milkiland increased by 12.11%, Coal Energy with its mines shut down due to the war – by 6.79%, Astarta, the country’s largest sugar producer – by 5.36%, Agroton and IMC agricultural holdings with land near the front – by 4.56% and 3.72%, KSG-Agro (all of which are part of the Ukrainian index) – by 4.85%.

Kernel, the largest Ukrainian oil producer, also rose by 7.91%, although its shares are not included in the index due to its small free-float.
