Nova Poshta has announced a new stage in implementing its energy independence program. In particular, the company’s press service reported that the first gas-fired cogeneration unit with an electric capacity of 1 MW has been launched at the company’s hub in western Ukraine.
It is noted that 6 more such units are currently being installed and should appear this year, particularly in Kyiv.
All cogeneration gas plants will operate on the principle of dual generation, producing electricity and heat from natural gas.
In addition to the gas cogeneration units, Nova Poshta has already launched two solar power plants and is preparing to install energy storage systems at three more facilities.
