Mstislav Chernov honored with Directors Guild of America Award

Mstislav Chernov's film 2000 Meters to Andriivka will be screened at Docudays UA

Ukrainian director and war documentary filmmaker Mstislav Chernov won the 78th Directors Guild of America (DGA) Awards for the documentary film “2000 Meters to Andriyivka”. This was reported on the award’s official website.

Chernov was honored in the category “For Outstanding Directorial Achievements in Documentary Filmmaking”. This is the 41-year-old director’s second victory at the DGA Awards. In 2023, he received the same award for the film “20 Days in Mariupol”.

By the way, this is not the only international recognition the film has received. In January 2025, “2000 Meters to Andriyivka” received the Sundance Film Festival award for best directing in the documentary category.
