As part of the cultural season “Le Voyage en Ukraine” (“Journey through Ukraine”), lines of works by Ukrainian poets have appeared in the French capital’s metro. This was reported by the Ukrainian Institute in France.
As noted, until March 11, passengers of the Paris metro will be able to see excerpts of poems translated into French by Lesya Ukrainka, Lina Kostenko, Oksana Zabuzhko, Lyuba Yakymchuk, Ella Yevtushenko, Kateryna Kalytko, Iryna Tsilyk, and Yaryna Chornoguz.
The project was implemented in partnership with the RATP transport company and is part of the cultural season “Le Voyage en Ukraine” (“Journey through Ukraine”), organized jointly by the Ukrainian Institute and the French Institute under the patronage of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and with the support of the Ministries of Culture of France and Ukraine.
