The largest Christmas dinner in Ukraine for families who have taken children into care took place in Kyiv. Almost 500 guardians, adoptive parents, and caregivers gathered at a long table — over 120 meters long — all who gave children a family.
The event was organized by the Kateryna Osadcha Foundation together with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. Families from Transcarpathia, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, and other regions came to Kyiv, where the foundation systematically supports the development of adoptive families.
For this evening, chefs from the Mafia restaurants and the Razom company had been preparing for several days: 150 kilograms of kuty and about 5,000 dumplings were served on the table. The space was decorated with 100 Christmas trees and 2 kilometers of garlands, and each child received an embroidered shirt as a gift — in total, over 400 were distributed. It took ten Ukrzaliznytsia cars to deliver the families to the capital.
