Joe Biden has announced that he is withdrawing from the presidential race. He assured that he would serve as US president until the end of the term.
In addition, Biden thanked everyone who “worked so hard to get me re-elected,” including Vice President Kamala Harris for being “an incredible partner in all of this.”
It is not yet known who will be the Democratic presidential candidate instead of Biden. However, he supported the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris and called on Democrats to unite to defeat Trump.
