On the night of December 21, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Verizon building in New York were illuminated with the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The campaign took place under the slogan “These children will not return home for the holidays.”

The initiative was organized by American actor, director, and producer Isaac Liev Schreiber at the initiative of BlueCheck and the Lubetsky Family Foundation to remind Americans of the 19,000 Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

Additionally, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Verizon building in New York were lit in the colors of our flag, and a Ukrainian children’s choir sang carols in the passageway of Grand Central Terminal.
An animation was projected over Grand Central Terminal, visualizing the number of missing children. This projection will also be visible in other locations in New York, including the Brooklyn Bridge and the Verizon building.
The campaign was carried out under the slogan: “These children will not return home for the holidays.”

Upon entering Russia, their identities are erased, and they are forced to adopt Russian culture and citizenship. While American families across the country gather for the holidays, this campaign serves as a reminder that without our continuous support for Ukraine, these abducted children may never return home,” said Isaac Liev Schreiber.
By the way, in 2022, after the full-scale Russian military invasion, Isaac Liev Schreiber actively supported Ukraine.
He became a co-founder of the organization Blue Check Ukraine, created to facilitate the donation process for Americans who want to help Ukraine. Schreiber actively participates in the return of Ukrainian children deported to Russia and supports the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Bring Kids Back UA.
