In Copenhagen, tourists will be entertained for free for their environmental behavior

In the Danish capital of Copenhagen, tourists are offered free entertainment and treats if they participate in environmental initiatives.

This is reported by the city’s tourism department.

To get a free lunch, coffee, kayaking tour, or museum entrance, you need to use a bicycle instead of a car, work in the city garden, pick up garbage, etc.

The CopenPay scheme was developed to compensate for the “environmental burden” of tourism. This pilot project will run from July 15 to August 11. It will involve 24 organizations providing food or services to tourists who have done something environmentally friendly. The government will not reimburse these costs.
