The State Customs Service reported that in 2024, Ukraine imported goods worth $70.7 billion and exported $41.6 billion.
Trade turnover increased by 13% from 2023 to $99.4 billion. At the same time, taxed imports amounted to $57.4 billion, 81% of the total volume of imported goods.
The largest importers of goods to Ukraine were:
- China – $14.4 billion;
- Poland – $7 billion:
- Germany – $5.4 billion.
The largest exporters of goods from Ukraine were:
- Poland – $4.7 billion;
- Spain – $2.9 billion;
- Germany – $2.8 billion.
Machinery, equipment, and transport accounted for $25 billion of the goods imported in 2024. During their customs clearance, UAH 172.3 billion, 29% of customs revenues, was paid to the budget.
Chemical products amounted to $11.7 billion, with UAH 87.7 billion paid to the budget during customs clearance. This accounts for 15% of revenues.
Last year, fuel and energy materials totaling $8.9 billion were imported into the country, with customs clearance of UAH 157.6 billion paid. This accounts for 27% of customs revenues.
Ukraine exported $24.6 billion worth of food products, $4.4 billion of metals and metal products, and $3.5 billion of machinery and equipment. According to the agency, UAH 311.3 million was paid to the budget during customs clearance of exports for goods subject to export duties.
