Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher has made a coming out

Ralf, a former Formula 1 driver and younger brother of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, has come out. The day before, he admitted that he was in a same-sex relationship.

Ralf became only the second openly gay man in the history of Formula 1. The first was the late British Mike Beutler, who participated in races from 1971 to 1973 and died in 1988 from complications caused by AIDS.

Ralf Schumacher, 49, won six grand prix in his 11-year career, which ended in 2007. He was previously married to Cori Brinkmann, with whom he has a 22-year-old son, David.
