For the first time, Ukraine entered the top five among European countries in terms of energy storage system (BESS) installations. According to the 2025 results, the country ranked fourth in the market.
This was reported in the SolarPower Europe association’s European Battery Market Outlook 2026-2030.
In 2025, nearly 3 GWh of new energy storage capacity was put into operation in Ukraine. In total, the top five markets accounted for 62% of all new installations in Europe.
The list of leading countries includes Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Ukraine, and Bulgaria.
